Totally true. I hate the diamond industry. One of the things wrong with the world. Too bad I still have to buy one for my fiancee.

Consider getting a synthetic diamond if you can find a place that sells them. It's still a crystal allotrope of carbon, same as from a mine. However, you will rest easy knowing that they aren't conflict diamonds, that no one shed blood or lost a limb for it, and that you aren't supporting DeBeers.
